Basingclog are your friendly local clog side in the Basingstoke area, performing dances from the North of England. We believe in dancing to entertain and we are renowned for the energy and enthusiasm we put into our dances and accompanying music. In Summer we can be found at the venues listed on the diary section of our website.
New members are always welcome. We’ll teach new dancers everything you need to know in our winter practice sessions in Sherfield Village Hall and also welcome experienced musicians.

Basingstoke Concert Band is a traditional well established wind band, with around forty playing members under the leadership of Mr. Mark Atkins. We perform various engagements throughout the year including charity concerts, band concerts and our own very popular Spring/Summer and Christmas concerts. Our repertoire covers many different styles of music including light classical pieces, arrangements of music from shows and films, military music and well-known dance pieces.
We rehearse at Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Our Pilates classes take place each Monday between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. And Tuesdays 10:30am to 11:30am standing and seated Pilates: and also on Fridays 10:30am to 11:30am.
in this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and encourage flexibility in the body. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. We conclude with a relaxation section to calm the body and mind.

The Lunch Club meets every Monday from 10.30am until 2.30pm and includes coffee, a delicious lunch, and of course lots of chatting and laughing!
The Lunch Club is only £5 a week, so if you’re feeling a little lonely or you have just moved into the village just come along and meet new people. You will be made very welcome.

Happy Faces Playgroup is a small, friendly playgroup with an excellent reputation. We welcome new families to come and visit us at any time during a session (however, we would be grateful if you could avoid the first and last fifteen minutes of each session) no appointment is necessary as we like to feel that you are seeing the true picture.
We aim to provide high quality care and education for pre-school children (from 2 years 6 months to 5 years old) in a fun, stimulating and caring environment. The staff work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop to their full potential. We also aim to add to the life and well-being of the local community and offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity.

Loddon Quilters is a group of 60 members who enjoy patchwork and quilting with fellow members. We share ideas and inspiration, offer a challenge at regular intervals – to those who want one – and provide a friendly, relaxed setting to meet with friends.
We put on a show every other year in the village hall to showcase our work and raise money for charity. We regularly make quilts for the charity Project Linus and other charitable causes.
Sherfield Village Short Mat Bowls Club is a very friendly club and we play in the Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall every Friday afternoon between 2.00pm and 4.00pm all through the year.
We play in the Thursday League throughout the winter. We also play friendly matches with other local clubs on Saturdays and we organise two open competitions a year with participating clubs from all over Hampshire.

Let’s Move comprises fun, seated, exercise sessions, enabling participants to improve or maintain their mobility and flexibility.
Sessions are held at two regular venues and by arrangement for local groups. The regular weekly sessions are held at 2.00pm on Tuesdays at Sherfield on Loddon Village Hall and at 10.30am on Wednesdays at Silchester Village Hall. The Tuesday sessions are followed by “Tea and Natter” for participants and carers to get to know each other. Your first class will be free, after that we will ask for £6 per session.
